After completing my first challenge this year, I knew I needed to throw myself right back into another one. Although I saw some progress during my first one, I had not reached all of my goals, and I knew if I was not careful I would revert back to old habits.
One of my ongoing struggles that I conquered this challenge is maintaining my weight. In the past I have done a pretty good job of maintaining my weight during the week, and totally blown it on the weekends. Using the YOR MRP 1-2 times per day, even on the weekend, allowed me to not have such large weight swings (i.e. In the past I would weigh in Friday morning at 153lbs and by Monday morning my weight would be up at 160lbs.). Not good! Then I would to have to work even harder for two weeks just to get back down to to where I started. Not this time. I was able to maintain my weight right around 153lbs the entire eight weeks!
One of the the things I faced during this challenge was traveling for work. I traveled for an entire week, right in the middle, and had to eat out every meal, and eating out is my weakness. When I go to a restaurant I just can't help myself. I always eat things that I love, and I have to eat everything on my plate. You know how they say old habits die hard, well, not this time! Being in the challenge helped me to stay on my new lifestyle habits, even when I was traveling.
The other area of health that I have always struggled with is my digestive health. Daily use of the YOR Supergreens, Fiber, Probiotics and Digest Ultra has allowed my system to process better and not have to work so hard. It has been great to become "regular" and I am going to leave it at that!
The other area the YOR Best Body Challenge has helped me in, is my physical. The challenge has inspired me to increase my activity. I am now weight training 3-4 days per week (Tue/Thur nights and Sat/Sun mornings). When I was younger I use to see women in the gym in their 40s and 50s in the best shape of their life, and I use to envision myself like them. For a long time after having my kids I was not sure I would ever see that vision come true. However, after completing my second challenge this year I believe that I can get into the best shape of my life, even at 40, with the help of YOR Health! See you in the next challenge!
