I have been a faithful customer of YOR Health for some time now. My favorite products being the Supergreens, Complete Burn, and Probiotics. However, I took them very casually. About a year ago I made the decision to move to Atlanta for a fresh new start. The very day I moved I had my regular menstrual cycle and thought everything was fine. From young I've always had long and difficult cycles. 5 months had past of continuous menstruating, and that is when I began to worry. I decided to see a doctor to find out exactly what was wrong, but I was never really given a clear explanation of what I was experiencing. I was prescribed birth control pills to help regulate my cycle.
For years I avoided using birth control because I was told you can gain weight. However, if I wanted to control my symptoms I had to take them. Fortunately, my cycle was regulated. Unfortunately, I gained 15 pounds within a span of 2 months. When I couldn't pull my jeans up past my hips and saw love handles in all my outfits, I knew that I had lost myself. It really hit me when one day I decided to go to the pool and I put on my bathing suit and my boyfriend said "Ilicia you should put a shirt on". I felt so unattractive, I became very depressed, and on top of that I was stressed from my new job.
When YOR Health launched the 8 week challenge, I saw this as motivation to get my health back on track. I made an appointment with my personal trainer and he told me that I was 28% body fat (just 4% away from being considered overweight for my age.) That day I took my pictures and enrolled into the challenge. I ordered my shakes, along with the digestive product line. I created a schedule that incorporated when I would take my products, when I would workout, and logged what foods I ate. I also decreased the amount of carbohydrates I was consuming and increased my protein intake.
Half way through my challenge, I lost 4 inches off of my waistline & stomach. I could not believe what I saw. The area I had the most trouble in was shrinking. In completing my challenge I hit my goal and lost a total of 5 inches off of my waistline, stomach and bust line. I also lost a total of 5 pounds. I am so amazed at the results I was able to achieve when I jut stayed disciplined on my products, and challenged myself. Not only do I see changes in my physique, but also my strength and endurance when I workout.
I am so glad that I made the decision to enroll into the challenge, take my health seriously and not cheat myself. This challenge has really taught me that being healthy is really a lifestyle, and there are no shortcuts. YOR Health made this process so convenient and fun for me, and I can't wait to start my new challenge. Thank you YOR Health!!
