Growing up as the big eared short skinny kid with a high pitched voice, I got teased a lot. Funny thing is back then I was teased for being skinny. Now that I am a little more “mature” in age, I am getting teased by friends and colleagues for being short and “tubby" guy which worries me a lot!”
We were taught to eat everything put on our plates. Wasting food was a “sin” in our household. Now, it doesn’t surprise me that my mom and step dad both are diabetics! So my dilemma is that I was trained to eat everything placed on my plate. However, that philosophy of eating everything is not serving me well as I age. Not to mention that if I don’t control my diet and lifestyle, I too am destined to become diabetic.
This is why the YOR Best Body challenge is so important to me. I needed an easier way to develop better eating habits and establish different lifestyle patterns. I have 2 little boys that gonna need their father around for a long time, and at my age I can’t afford to be in poor health. The Best Body Challenge has helped me tremendously. Everyday I am reminded to “mind” my diet (what I eat) and make better choices because I am one day closer to having to submit my after photos. I also am conscious of exercising on a daily basis. I actually only exercise 2-3 times a week, but I think about it, and that thought helps keep me focused even when life throws me a curve ball and I don’t get my workout in that day.
I have completed a few YOR Best Body challenges before, but this challenge was different and very challenging. Right in the middle of this challenge I had an allergic reaction to something I ate and had a major eczema breakout. I had to take medical steroids that actually caused me to gain weight. So although I didn’t reach my projected weight of 160lbs, I did however reduce my body fat percentage. Which is what my goal for this challenge was! So in light of the big picture, this 8 week best body challenge was a success for me. I have a long way to go until I reach my ideal body physique and that’s why I will continue entering YOR Best Body 8 week challenges. 8 weeks at a time I plan to transform my body and create better lifestyle habits.
For this cycle I used YOR Shake, SuperGreens, Essential Multi-Vitamins, Repair Ultra, Berry Blast, Digest Ultra, and Essential Oils ( Marjoram, Peppermint, Boost). As I mentioned earlier, workout 2 times maybe 3 times a week.
