When one wants to start something new, one's determined to finish.
That's what I came across when participating in the 8 Week Challenge. Prior to using the products I was slightly out of shape and very weak weighing 144 lbs. Back in 2011, I physically suffered from a severe car accident leaving me four inches away from being permanently paralyzed. I had gone through three surgeries, spent my time in the hospital for three months and recovered in rehab for one month. The damage in my spine was rigorous, I had to learn how to properly walk all over again. This entire obstacle led me with eight titanium rods in my spine. Throughout my life, I remained in great shape, I was far from the lazy couch-potato. I've always said, because I was in great shape before my accident, I wouldn't have recovered as quickly as I did. This is why staying in top physical shape is crucial! You want to prepare for anything that may come along your path. Wouldn't you agree, proper preparation prevents poor performance?
I remember then I asked my surgeon what should I do to strengthen my spine, bones, muscles etc. He told me to consume a lot of green vegetables. I've attempted to do so on my own, but felt no difference. Then I was introduced to SuperGreens, by the second month of using the product, the back pain slowly diminished! From then on, I believed in the products and purchased a set.
During this second cycle of the challenge, I've had a better idea on how to use the products. I made sure I had the following a day, YOR Vitamins 6x, MRP 2x, SuperGreens 2x, Berry Blast (my favorite) 3x, Fiber 2x, Probiotics 1x, Repair 1x a night and DIgest Ultra capsule with every meal. IT WAS SO EASY! Routine has nothing to do with repetition because to become really good at anything, you have to practice and repeat, practice and repeat, until the technique becomes intuitive. As a Personal Trainer, I workout everyday regardless but during the cycle, it was crucial to put my body to rest for at least 2x out of the entire week. I simply worked out 5-6x a week for no more than one hour sessions. To me, it wasn't about losing a significant amount of weight because all I cared about was getting stronger moreso for my back and I know I've gained much of it along the way with proper nutrition.
I had joined the 8 Week Challenge because I wanted to do it for my own health. My back injury has made such an impact not only in my life, but for others as well. During the challenge process, I have received a tremendous amount of love and support. My favorite by far is, "Wow Pilar! You couldn't walk two years ago, now you can run for miles without stopping! You're an inspiration!!" (Instagram - pilar_xo)
In conclusion, this 8 Week Challenge was the best decision I've ever made. I was a bit hesitant at first because I did not think I could pull through it, but look where I am today...finished Cycle 2 now on to Cycle 3. I know it may sound cliche when people say 'whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger' but now I'm a firm believer to that statement. This kept me motivated, something to look forward to. I've already won the 8 Week Challenge, I inspired my family, friends and strangers from all over the U.S but continue to do so in sharing my story of prosperity with the world because of the amazing product line, because of the company YOR Health.
"The only disability in life is a bad attitude."
No excuses. I did it. Join the Challenge!
