This journey has been one that has completely changed my perspective on my health, my body and mindset.
Growing up health was something that I was not only passionate about but quite obsessed with. I started going to the gym at the age of 13 and I have not stopped since. I would train excessively with weights and cardio but never moved forward. I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. The biggest issue I faced however was my eating habits.
Food and nutrition is something I have always struggled with throughout my life. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t eat takeaway, soft drinks or any obvious unhealthy foods, but my cravings for sugar? Now that was a whole different story. At a very young age I have always been a very competitive person and extremely obsessed with the way my body looked. I thought my general diet was quite “healthy”. I ate eggs and oats for breakfast, tuna and cooked veggies for lunch and steak for dinner. I could not understand why I never saw results. As I was uneducated about enzymes and alkalinity I was desperate for results so I would often starve myself on ridiculous diets. I would eat nothing but protein and cooked veggies then skip dinner. Then I would go through phases where my cravings would drive me insane and I would eat copious amounts of sweets. This made me exceedingly frustrated over the years and often affected everything around me. I would be moody, aggressive, impatient, angry and constantly stressed.
I was never happy with my body. I was always tired. I was constantly sick. I was emotionally unwell. I had eating problems and would lose weight and put it straight back on from yo-yo dieting. It is safe to say I was mentally exhausted and frustrated which damaged my confidence and emotional levels.
Once I was introduced to YOR health I will admit I was a little bit skeptical as I have tried everything and it sounded way too good to be true. I decided to give it a go and that decision was the BEST decision I have ever made for myself! I was absolutely shocked at the amount of energy I had. I was able to concentrate at a whole new level with my Uni work and the amount of clarity the products gave me on a daily basis was astonishing. I have not been sick once since I began using the products. I spent much time researching alkalinity and enzymes and completely cut out dark meet from my diet. (Living in a South African household and having steak about 3 nights a week made this a HUGE adjustment). However to my surprise it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. My cravings for not only meat but sugar (which was a MASSIVE problem I had) decreased immensely. I have been eating raw fruits and vegetables, along with using the products every day and find I am only able to eat half the amount of calories that I used to eat in a day and having double the amount of energy before starting this challenge.
I had Supergreens, Fibre and Berry blast every morning YUM! I had MRP shake after gym and at work (strawberry milkshake with Berry Blast. Delicious!)
I had Repair before bed when I was sore from gym
and Digest with my big meals. I LOVE THEM!
There simply is no way to put in words what YOR Health has done for me. The education, along with the life changing products has truly set me free from the struggles I faced every day with my health and mindset. My thoughts and emotions are much more positive as I became aware of the acidic effects negative thoughts and stress has on my health. This has helped me be a better person towards others and given me a great amount of self-confidence. I absolutely LOVE my body for the first time in my life which is an absolute life changing experience.
