My challenge started when I realized I had completely let myself go. I was once the gym rat who ate super clean, supplemented daily, and took pride in being healthy.
Over the last year I went through a lot of emotional and physical ups and downs. I ended up on a path I would've never thought I'd go down. I became extremely depressed an started to turn against my good habits. I started eating terribly, sleeping less, drinking way too much, and hardly ever working out.
I didn't pay attention to my expanding waistline or lack of energy. I didn't believe in myself and gave myself millions of excuses as to why what I was doing was ok. I didn't think I could ever get back to the "old" me, so I didn't try.
But then one day I woke up and saw the 30 pounds I had gained in 6 months staring back at me in the mirror. I hardly recognized myself. I was yawning all the time, my skin looked dull and my hair and nails brittle. I was getting winded when is play with my niece.
