Participating in the Best Body Challenge has been a GAME CHANGER for my personal health. I have always tried sticking to a plan in the gym and using my products, but having this extra motivation really keeps me focused on living a healthier lifestyle.
Before using the products I was about 190lbs. and wanted to lose 50lbs. I would go to the gym 1 day then feel "too sore" or tired to go back for the next 2-3 days. After a few weeks of this habit I would just stop going to the gym, which prevented me from hitting ANY of my health goals. I began to believe that maybe I was one of those people that would never lose weight. I became extremely unhappy and even hated what I saw when I looked in the mirror.
I finally was introduced to YOR Health in 2008 and in the following 2-3 years was able to shed about 40lbs. SIGNIFICANTLY changing the way I felt, looked, and lived.
Once losing the initial 40lbs. I was able to feel much more confident, had more energy and began doing things I loved again! I have always loved volleyball but wasn't able to compete at the level I desired because I was so overweight.
NOW that I know I have control over my body I have decided to take it to another level of fitness! I don't want to just lose fat, I want to gain muscle, flexibility and balance. Two of my goals in this first cycle were to 1. Gain 4" on my vertical leap, and 2. lose 10lbs.
I was able to gain 4" on my vertical halfway through the challenge! And I have lost a total of 3 lbs. but have changed the overall composition of my body from flabby to a much stronger, leaner core.
In addition to the goals I had set Day 1, I broke some personal barriers I didn't even know I wanted to improve during this challenge! I was able to jump on the highest box at the gym which is 30". I learned how to do headstands in Yoga class! And I started a new workout program called Crossfit which continues to push me past my mental barriers weekly. If I didn't begin the 8 week challenge I would have never discovered any of these new parts of my now exciting fit life!
I am thrilled with the results I have gained from this first cycle challenge, and CAN'T WAIT for cycle 2!
